Frosted Couture Cupcakes was founded by Joelle Walasewicz. Joelle traded a career in pharmaceuticals to pursue her two life-long passions – baking and fashion. Being an “all or nothing” girl, Joelle was determined to find a way to blend her love for baking and creating sweet treats with her passion for Couture fashion and design! Although the economy presented a tough challenge, Joelle was convinced that the timing was perfect to open Southington’s first cupcake boutique. Frosted Couture Cupcakes opened it's doors this past September!
One of Joelle’s most important aspects of fulfilling her entrepreneurial dreams includes being a beacon in the fight against cancer and to help those in need. Frosted Couture Cupcakes participates in numerous local and national charitable events. In the short time FCC has been in business, we’ve donated thousands of cupcakes for causes such as The Taste of the Nation – The Food Network’s organization to end childhood hunger; The Race in the Park – a local charitable event to help defeat breast cancer; and the Tressel Family Fund Raiser which supported a local family in need.
